about

I jotted down the first three lines while sitting in a bar last week. A melody come to me as I sat there, working from the music that happened to be playing. I didn't think much of it, except over the next few day the simple melody, much of it just thee notes, would not go away. I decided I had a song on my hands and sat down to write it.

The lyrics are pretty obscure, but I'm hoping at least some of you will understand the story this tells. Tell me if you think you know,

lyrics

ONE SWEET MOMENT

Silver shoes
Way too young
Walking where the stars are hung
Lately I'm not who I am at all
Turn away
'fore she sees
Such as fool it makes of me
Lately I'm just headed for a fall

And it's all because
Something that once was
I was yours and you were almost mine
One sweet moment
One sweet moment
in time

Smoky voice
Star tattoo
Any time I think of you
I know I'm not who I was at all
Stop myself
'fore I go
Tell her she reminds me so
Someone from a dream I still recall

Chorus

Pirate smile
Blue green eyes
I have lived a million lives
How can I still feel you on my skin?
Anyway
Time to go
Never even said hello
Walking out the way that she walked in

Chorus
